It’s been with him for years, but he’s never seen a real one: The sailor, wood sculptor, window dresser, goldsmith and work and art educator Walty Mangold notes his nightly imaginary walks on canvas, with a rhinoceros appearing again and again. The result is a colourful, bold and fantastic realism that can finally be shown in public again.

A small foretaste can be seen here in the mail, the rhinoceros walks a little further in the background, concealed, through a flowery scenery of rugged hilly landscapes without scale. I wonder what the menacing cloud will create? The radiant sun makes it flee from the picture.

We cordially invite you to a wonderful afternoon full of art and its enjoyment – your Art- and Naturefriends from Brünig.
